About Us

Australian Search and Rescue K9 Inc. (ASAR-K9) is a volunteer, not-for-profit organisation based in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. We train handler and dog teams to respond within urban search and rescue (USAR) environments to locate survivors trapped under rubble and debris following events such as explosions, earthquakes, or landslides. We are dedicated to training teams for this unique and valuable search service, provided to the community free of charge, and available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Australian Search and Rescue K9 is an incorporated association under the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012 (Vic), and a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission.
